Fable 2
This game has been the highest on my watchlist for a long time now. This game is confirmed to be on the show floor and hopefully I'll finally see the two remaining features Molyneux has yet to reveal. What is interesting for me right now is the choices you make in the game. Usually in games in which you have decisions that can effect the game, but in those moments you have a clear idea of the weight of the impact it has. Fable 2 blurs that line, the game will change accordingly depending on your actions and decisions but you will not really know when they are important decisions -- in theory it makes the game flow a lot more naturally. I also would like to know when will it be out. It is confirmed to be this year, and I am really excited for this one.
Infamous
It is still my most anticipated game for the PS3. Announced last year, it's been really quiet since. New info has recently surfaced on the game. Now I want to see it in action!!
Beyond Good & Evil 2
I can't tell you how excited I am about this game. I'm especially excited about the fact that Christophe Heral has been called back to work on the music for the game.
Alan Wake
One of Microsoft's big hitter exclusives. Understandably, when dealing with survival horrors it may be best to not to divulge too much info as it may diminish the scare factor. But come on Remedy, you're not going to work on this until 2010, are you!?
Splinter Cell: Conviction
The social stealth gameplay (as seen in Assassin's Creed) may possibly be taken to another level in this one. The game has been delayed for a long while now and while I suspect drastic gameplay changes from the first trailer, I'd love to see the progress of this title.
This is Vegas
Another sand-box title, but this one clearly isn't directly challenging GTAIV's gritty realism. Instead it has a more sylized approach of Sin City itself. The game has been delayed from November until next year which I think is reassuring to me that they now have more time to polish the animations and possilble bugs. The game was build on 4 Pillars: Gamble, Fight, Race and Party. The Party aspect was enough to sell me on it. This game is also confirmed to show up at E3'08.
Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer
We saw the confusing tech demo trailer about 2 years ago. Blame Sony for that, it was a technical demo but they liked it so much Sony asked the devs to touch it up for E3'06. It's wasn't a very good sales device, though, it was technically a good achievement (it only took them 3 months to make it, scripting and post-production included). Still, the more I read about it, the more interested I am about the game. I'm hoping they'll show some actual gameplay footage this time.
And those are a few titles I'm hoping to see. Others include:
- Mad World
- Major Minor's Majestic March
- Sadness
- Sabotuer
- Virtua Fighter 5 R
- APB
- L.A. Noire
- Bayonetta
- Dark Void
